Just as promised, I am updating the page without any new information about the band this site is named for. Why is that? It isnt as if I have something interesting to say... but because there is a paper due in less than 12 hours and I have less than a sentence written of it. =-)
So what is this post going to be about already? SUREly she isnt going to go on and on about her paper, not when we, the fans of joys lament and other crazily awesome bands are giving up precious moments of our lives to read... to hope to understand... that which is holy and that which is good.
I just posted on my own blog... though I guess this is my own blog as well... although I can't really say that I own either of them, I never purchased either of them and if they were gone, I'd probably spend those 10 minutes of unconsolable messiness and then forget that I ever had the word ... is it a word?....BLOG in my vocabulary.
So I've hungered for a lot of things lately, strangely food has not been one of them, but most of the time I am fortunate enough not to hunger for anything important. But I have been hungering for word from Joys Lament, as they are the shoeshine in my coffee (it tastes awful but the guys are great) and the dimple in my smile.
I know you all were wondering at 10 to 12 sunday night.... where is the joys lament news letter??? I MUST HAVE WORD! I know, I was too. However that whole "through rain sleet snow" shit is just that, and should only be applied to the patriotic men and women who deliver our mail and put out our fires. As fires occur regardless of rain sleet snow and should in all conditions be put out either by mail*persons or femail persons and of course big burly firemen with long hoses and short attention spans... hmm i wonder how that would.. nevermind
So sunday is approaching quickly... after saturday, which approaches slowly and frustrates the fuck out of us. And as sunday approaches we must catch our breath and pray to the not-god that be and ask him to safely deliver the joys lament newsletter into our sweaty little (and considerably not so little) hands sunday someday sunday night.
i leave u with baited breath.... twitching in anticipation....why? cuz i have a paper to write dumbass.. get over it.

Okay so for all of you who remember the old page, this is the new and improved page... umm of the moment. So although I wouldn't suggest you grow emotionally attached to this baby just yet, I would like to invite you to revel in its slight koolness for the time being.
This is not the official band page.
This is the unofficial page. This is the page that all of the real fans will have up there in with their so-called "Favorites" and for our friends in the UK "Favouuuurites" with your own blog and the blogs of your close friends and extended relatives. Let me just reiterate that this is NOT the official band site, in fact, I don't even think anyone in Joy's Lament likes this site. Perhaps they are even embarrassed by its existence. All of these are possibilites. I just don't know. I don't. I swear I'm not lying. So please don't confuse this site with the non-existent Official site. The bassist who hates this site, will get very upset if you associate him in any way with this site. Okay, thanks! I hope that was clear.
Moving On to Our Favorite (Favouuurite) Part!
DOES THE BAND STILL EXIST AND IF SO WHAT ARE THEY UP TO???
Yes, yes they still do. So we can go from there. Disease seems to be easing its way through the band starting with the guitars and hopefully going no further, but only time will tell. The fate of mankind hangs in the balance. What will this illness mean for the band? Will they be unable to keep to their tour schedule as of the first of the year? Will disease become the new member of this constantly growing and changing unit? If so will this mean the introduction of some sick guitar solos? It would seem reasonable and yet, no one can recall it. How very bizarre.
Let me just take this moment to address an issue that has been vehemently argued and brought to my attention. Blogs are not the right format for band sites. The reason for disgust at the existence of this site is not because of its content or because of my personal relationship with any member of the band. In fact they "appreciate my labor of love". =-) They are just waiting to make a better page that will be more equipt to handle the many different tasks they will want it to perform.
And so this fan page will continue to thrive and I will soon be adding a comments system where people can leave questions and comments for the band or for other fans to be enjoyed and pondered respectively.
Be sure to tune in... some other time... perhaps in a few minutes because it seems ever few minutes I edit this one entry and make it longer. lol ... no, because depending on my boredom this site will continue to expand or it won't ... right.
