Another week runs off with our youth as we get further and further from the cradle and oh so much closer to the grave. If you found that slightly over dramatic, you've come to the right place. Welcome to the blog folks. No, not just a blog... but a site created in the image and likeness of a blog-fan site. Yes my friends, we here are original in that we don't have normal sites (well not yet at least) So Just sit back, relax, have some tea, and lets let the good times roll.
So seriously, the EP is the talk of the town, I don't know about you...but MY email box was flooded with emails from the professors and faculty (ali) at rutgers university who wanted details about the possibility of a world tour swiftly approaching. I had to laugh... oh rutgers, you do it to me every time!
Gone But Not Forgotten
-------------------------------
After last weeks blog several artists have come foward to audition to play live with the band, but ever since they lost dan, their guitarist, they understandably haven't been comfortable with allowing a cold fish to attempt to fill his large shoes.
If you want to find out more about what sorts of events, benefits, and clothing drives Dan will be holding... for himself, leave an inquiry below and I'll get back to you! I assure you his separation from the band is nothing but a stepping stone in his career.
That's all for this week folks, if you want to hear more about the other band members you can tune in next week.
Question of the Week:
What's Your Favorite Joy's Lament Song?
a-nothing
b-bargain bin
c-arrogant
d-no really, nothing.. they all suck

This is an update because of the terribly thoughtful (and might I say unauthorized) advertisement placed in the Judeo-Christian... I mean JL Newsletter (which hardly ever addresses news, unless we're including weather as news, and frankly folks, I doubt its news to anyone that it's cold as hell and snowing).
I never understood why we say "cold as hell".... perhaps we can look foward to that revelation in the next JL newsletter... or maybe............ more weather bulletins!
Alright enough of that... now on to the real reason that this site exists....
lets talk Joy's Lament.
As a fan and a friend, I personally have lots of interest in where these guys go and what they sound like, and these guys have lots of different sounds.
Personally, I like acoustic guitar an awful lot, and the band's somewhat new song "Nothing" sounds really hott acoustic. Other songs that don't sound half bad acoustic are "Bargain Bin" (yes this heavy love ballad is quite charming acoustic), "Song For The Dying" otherwise referred to as "The Spanish Song" (in the works) and "Sparky, the Wonder Dog".
What? You've never heard "Sparky, the Wonder Dog"? That's ruff.
But all embarrassing jokes aside, the band is up to good stuff with their EP coming out... (i dont know what that stands for.. but thats ok.. im just a fan)
so question of the week for all of Joy's Lament's fans is.........................
A) what would be the best song for the band to cover?
or
B) who would be the koolest guest to play with the band?
later my crazies

california... here we come
no maybe not. not today, certainly not tomorrow, and most likely not in my lifetime.. who wants to go to cali anyway? all they got there is beaches and shit. no, not for me.
take me away to no where place
this site has nothing to do with joys lament.. although the site address might have led u here on that assumption.
this site will also change names periodically.. there is not pattern to it, no nostalgia... nothing... no spell checker either. If you've stumbled here looking for the band site I dont know what to tell you, pull up a chair or get the hell out, i'll be here.
it used to be a site for the band, the address is not without any sense or purpose to it at all, but most everybody thinks the site's been deleted anyway, so why fight it. I guess in a way it has been deleted. Everyday it is updated it is deleted. I would like to get rid of the archives option.. i dont even just want them private, I want them gone. I don't want it for myself, I just want to put all this someplace and forget it. Forget it all. This is my lament and its a strong one.
I'll probably be sued by the band when they get famous and I'll lose my raincoat but thats ok. Cuz i drew a picture, and that makes me someone. I dont really know who.. but someone.
My worst fears realized... no im not her, but im not far. Have I turned into my sweetest friend? I give him everything that is beautiful in me.
I blow things out of frame. Would I want to live a movie... don't movie stars get tired. I think we want to live in movies, thats why we make them so long. We just aren't ready to go back.
can't you realize that
they say what they think they know
they know whats on television
they dress how the others dress
and they feel without the truth of even feeling
can't you realize, we must compromise
it goes to bed

Okay so this will most likely be the last update this page ever receives, because honestly... each update this page gets has...has a good chance of being the last. Not because the band decidedly sucks or anything, just because my attention span is not that grand and neither is this site's pool of readers.
Plus it isnt all that much fun to be this biased publically... cuz lets face it folks, we've all got criticisms of just about everything and Joy's Lament is surely no exception.
So why did I update this BLOG just to say how unnecessary it is.... well because most likely there will be an actual joys lament band site where all of us can go and worship our friends in a much more professional way. Like real fans worship a real band. And isnt that what music is all about folks?
So maybe I'm bitter that my site has a teardrops chance in hell to withstand the much kooler, much more professional website in our friends' band's future... maybe. But hey, I'll get over it. =-)
